I have a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota (UMN). I am interested in Development Policy, Natural Resource Economics, and Remote Sensing.
Formerly, I worked as an Economics Consultant for the Country Department Andean Group at the IDB, as a Research Assistant at the UMN, and as an Economics Consultant for the Country Department Central America, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic at the IDB, INCAE Business School in Costa Rica, and IESA's International Center for Energy and Environment in Venezuela. I have taught Econometrics, Mathematics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Principles of Economics. I have also authored, co-authored, and reviewed multiple studies mainly on Latin American countries.
I hold a B.A. in Economics from the Central University of Venezuela, a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the Andres Bello Catholic University (Summa Cum Laude), a MicroMaster's certificate in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a professional certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Essentials from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and I have an NIW U.S. Green Card.
